Initiatives

The Copenhagen Climate Council's primary objective is to contribute towards making the 2009 UN Climate Conference a success by presenting political decision-makers with new ideas, solutions and recommendations on how to best tackle climate change without compromising our prosperity or our growth perspectives. To accomplish this goal, the Council has designed a comprehensive action plan of initiatives and events that will unfold over the soming 18 months. COPENHAGEN CLIMATE COUNCIL MANIFESTO

The Manifesto is the Council's statement of intent. It outlines the purpose of the Council and the elements of an effective global treaty that needs to be agreed upon in Copenhagen in December 2009.

 

CLIMATE LIFE

Climate LIFE is a virtual exhibition encompassing a film, a digital exhibition and a book. Together, they will show what sustainable communities might look like in the future and explore the delivery model necessary to achieve this vision. Climate LIFE will demonstrate that making the transition to a new way of living is possible and desirable.

 

THOUGHT LEADERSHIP SERIES

In a series of 10 specially-commissioned essays, some of the world's most forward-looking thought leaders will examine what is required to achieve an effective global response to climate change. Each piece will inspire through new thinking, new ideas and new solutions.
