Jørgen Mads Clausen was born in 1948 and is President and Chief Executive Officer of Danfoss. Jørgen M. Clausen is the oldest son of Danfoss founder Mads Clausen. He holds a degree in electronic engineering from Denmark's Engineering Academy and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin, USA.

 

For a number of years, Jørgen M. Clausen was employed at Grundfos’ subsidiary in Germany. He then ran his own business in Copenhagen. In 1980, he took up a position at Danfoss as Manager of Corporate Technology and Research.

 

In 1990, Jørgen M. Clausen was appointed to Danfoss' Executive Committee and in 1991 became President of the Mobile Hydraulics Division. He became CEO in April 1996. He is Chairman of the Board of Sauer-Danfoss Inc., Chairman of the Board of Risø, Chairman of the Board of Young Enterprise Europe, and, finally, he is a member of the Academy of Technical Scientists.
