Headquartered in Hong Kong, CLSA is the leading independent research, brokerage, investment bank and private equity group in Asia. CLSA operates in 15 countries, and was the first foreign investment bank to be granted a domestic joint venture investment banking licence in China. Rob Morrison joined CLSA in January 2000 and was promoted to Chief Executive Officer of CLSA Limited in 2002. Rob Morrison became group Chairman in 2006. He has over 20 years experience in the financial markets, including a variety of roles with Bankers Trust and Ord Minett (a member of the Jardine Fleming Group) in Australia and New Zealand.

CLSA’s major shareholder is France’s Credit Agricole, which merged in 2003 with Credit Lyonnais to form the 6th largest bank in the world by Tier One capital and the 7th largest bank in the worldmeasured by assets. CLSA enjoys substantial staff ownership, which contributes to its independent stance and operations.
