Inspiring through new thinking, ideas and solutions
In a series of 10 specially-commissioned essays, some of the world's most forward-looking thought leaders will examine what is required to achieve an effective global response to climate change. Each piece will inspire through new thinking, new ideas and new solutions.
The Thought Leadership Series includes both extended interviews with and essays by leading thinkers in a variety of fields and sectors, addressing climate change from different perspectives, but with a shared focus on the ideas and solutions. The essays will be published in media with a global reach. This work, together with our events and other initiatives, will inform, inspire and engage politicians, business leaders and the public to take action towards tackling climate change.
Themes for this series of articles and extended interviews might include low-carbon energy sources, demand-side efficiency, business models, transport, funding for adaptation, human development, architecture, deforestation, achieving low carbon growth in China and similar.
All essays will be published together as a book and presented at the World Business Summit on Climate Change in May 2009.
